Harold Charles Coberly Jr.
Harold Charles Coberly, Jr,, age 86 of Englewood, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013 in Hospice of Dayton. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 2, 1926 the son of Harold C. & Emily (Tschaburn) Coberly. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII where he served in the South Pacific. He retired from Shook Construction as a superintendant and was a member of the Carpenter’s Local #104. He was a life member of the West Milton VFW Post #8211, West Milton American Legion Post #487 where he served as the Bugler on the Color Guard for 25 years, and the Polish-American Democratic Club.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Helen (Price) Coberly, 2 children Stephen (Julie) Coberly, Lisa (Michael) Buirley, 4 grandchildren Hoss Coberly, Lisa Weaver, Brittani Boggs, Bristol Blair, 5 great grandchildren, a brother Leon “Butch” Coberly, and a sister Anita Schultz.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 4-6 pm in the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 10:30 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
