Miss Dolly
How do you write a story about Dolly in so little space. She was a joy - a free spirit - a hard worker - a fun person - a great momma and grandmoma - a worry wort - as bull headed as I am - and a good friend. You came to work and said I can't lift my arms till you were finished you lifted them. So many people thought you were the owner, that was fine with me it took the stress off my shoulders. Oh, the costumes you and the family came up with. My favorite was the Beverly Hillbillies you as Granny was perfect you even came in a rocking chair. Over the years you were many different people. Always having fun with the costumes and shows we did. You were a fun person. I remember one night I said to you and Ray let's go to a haunted house. Your reply was a staunch NO! Well you did and you loved it, half the fun was seeing you do something you didn't want to do. Laughed so hard that night. Mike and I tried to teach you to swim - you tried but guess we weren't the best teachers. But at least you weren't afraid. Always wanted to get you in a plane but that didn't happen. How often you would say, "Giving Ray toast and cereal for supper" then you would laugh all the way back to the camper. It was a trip Miss Dolly and one I wouldn't change. We did good. It was a pleasure knowing you and enjoying the hours we spent. There are memories and they bring a smile to my face, and know you're remembering to and smiling. It was a pleasure knowing you (and Ray). I thank the Lord for bringing you into our lives. We'll meet again. God is Faithful.
