Gloria J. Bischoff
Gloria J. Bischoff, age 80 of Huber Heights, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Grandview Hospital. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on January 10, 1937 the daughter of John Marion and Thelma A. (Shroeder). After high school she moved to New York to join the New York Ballet, she then was recruited by Ringling Brother’s Circus. She worked in the circus for over 10 years; it was here that she met her husband, Horst. She owned the Gloria Esposito School of Dance for over 40 years. In high school she started the Vandalia Butler Kick line. She was active at the Huber Heights YMCA with the Silver Sneakers and Line Dancing Classes, volunteered at the Schuster Center and Victoria Theater and was a member of the German Club, Vandalia Sister City and German Stein Club.
She is survived by her son Roland Bischoff and daughter Anneliese (Barry) Organ; grandsons Aaron Organ and Brandon Bischoff; and brothers George Esposito and Charles (Deb) Esposito.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Horst Bischoff in October 2017 and a brother David Esposito.
A celebration of Gloria’s life will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City with Pastor Bobbie Predmore officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Gloria’s memory to Culture Works, 110 N. Main St., Suite 165, Dayton, Ohio 45402.
