Kenneth Earl Ward, age 96 of St. Paris and formerly of Troy, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017 at Mercy McAuley Center, Urbana. He was born in Troy on October 16, 1921 the son of Harrison Clyde & Rosabelle (Alexander) Ward. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in World War II. He retired in 1983 from Hobart Corporation. He was a member of the Troy Baptist Temple, Troy and Grace Baptist Church, Urbana.

He is survived by his children Ken Ward Jr., Rose Mary Jordan and Marcella (Craig) Poe; 5 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren; a sister Gladys Stanley and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Violet Marie Ward, and 8 brothers and sisters.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 10:30 am at the Troy Baptist Temple, 619 Staunton Rd., Troy, Ohio with Pastor David Thomasson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. Condolences may be sent to the family through this online guestbook.
