Karen Lynn Lutz, age 65 of Troy, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Upper Valley Medical Center Hospice Unit, Troy. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on January 22, 1952 the daughter of William & Frances (Cox) Simpson. She worked for over 20 years as a Medical Secretary for Dr. Young in Dayton. She enjoyed traveling across the United States with her husband James on their motorcycle. She loved to garden and spend time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, James Lutz Sr.; children James (Connie) Lutz Jr. and Jennifer (Jason) Helman; grandchildren Noah Lutz, Nolan Lutz, Mikayla Helman, Lacy Blevins and Kassandra Kessler; brothers William Eric (Jennifer) Simpson and Craig Simpson and her Aunt Carolyn Casto.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Mark Simpson.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Upper Valley Medical Center ICU for their care and compassion shown to Karen and her family during her time at the hospital.
