Obituary for Horst Otto Bischoff

Horst Otto Bischoff, age 84, of Huber Heights passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Magdeburg-Buckau, Germany on April 30, 1933 the son of August E. & Minna Marie (Meseberg) Bischoff. He came to America at the age of 14 with his uncle’s teeter board act to perform with the Ringling Brothers Circus at Madison Square Gardens. He traveled all of Europe, America, Canada, and Mexico for over 10 years performing his act. He retired in 1985 from Monsanto Chemical and was a member of the German Club, Vandalia Sister City, and German Stein Club.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gloria (Esposito) Bischoff, son Roland Bischoff, daughter Anneliese (Barry) Organ, and grandsons Aaron Organ and Brandon Bischoff.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of Horst’s life will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City with Pastor Bobbie Predmore officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
