Madonna June Bishop
Madonna June Bishop, age 91 of Vandalia passed away on what would have been her 74th wedding anniversary, Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born in Arlington, Ohio on March 19, 1926 the daughter of James C. & Ethel Wilch. She was a member of the Vandalia United Methodist Church. Madonna was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her children James Michael (Anita) Bishop, Lynn Alan (Vicki) Bishop, Thomas Gregory (Kimberly) Bishop and Victoria L. (John) Ciprian; grandchildren Heather, Tony, Lauren (Ben), Tyler, Ryan (Christa) and Scott (Cobey); great grandchildren Brandon, Brittany, Tristan, Reid, Kelsey, Carter and Jonah; her nephew William (Karen) Alge; great nieces Shani and Alex; great great nieces Laine and Reign and her many friends at the Pristine Senior Living Nursing Home in Beavercreek.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 65 years Marion R. Bishop in 2009, granddaughter Ashley, a sister Wanda Alge and brothers Roe Wilch and an infant brother. The family would like to thank the entire staffs at Pristine Senior Living Nursing Home, Soin Medical Center and Hospice of Dayton for their care and compassion to Madonna and her family during this difficult time.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Chaplain Nancy Sholder officiating. Inurnment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. Memorial contributions may be made in Madonna’s memory to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420. Condolences may be sent to the family on this online guestbook.
