Obituary for Edward J. Galloway

Edward J. Galloway
In loving memory of a true original, Edward J. Galloway who passed away at Hospice of Dayton, Monday, May 22, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Edward along with his wife Karen Galloway resided in Brookville, Ohio. He was originally from Wilmington, Delaware. Edward was a proud member of the U.S. Ari Force where he earned the rank of Technical Sergeant and retired after 20 years as a dedicated and skilled medic. After his service in the armed forces, Edward worked as a hospital administrator in the Dayton area for many years before exploring endeavors in other areas that would lead him to work for Honeywell and the Dayton Airport before his retirement.

Edward is survived by his wife and best friend of 40 years, Karen (Munn) Galloway, children Timothy Galloway, Matthew (Lora) Thompson and Mark (Amy) Thompson, Tamara (Tony) Mele and Pamela (Mark) Anderson, five grandchildren Jonas, Jackie, Michael, Sydney, and Mackay, four great grandchildren, a sister Kay (Mick) Strickland, a sister-in-law Kay Seaman and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents Edward Galloway Sr., and Cecelia (Kane) Galloway Young, Father and Mother-in-law Gerald and Ruth Munn and a brother-in-law Ronald Munn. Our family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many wonderful caregivers that treated Edward throughout his illness.
