Robert W. Lucas
Robert W. Lucas, age 80 of Tipp City and formerly of North Olmsted, Ohio passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 at SpringMeade Nursing Home, Tipp City. He was born in Lakewood, Ohio on June 18, 1936 the son of John & Mildred (Krupko) Lucas, both now deceased. He worked for Warner and Swasey for over 38 years and then for his brother at Jim Lucas Sunoco for 10 years until retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Sandra (Weigle) Lucas, daughter Debbie (Steve) Minnich, grandchildren Richard Minnich, Amy Minnich and Sarah (Stephen) McCall, 2 brothers John and Jim Lucas and their familes.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Hospice of Miami County and SpringMeade Nursing Home for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at the Ascention Lutheran Church, 28081 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, Ohio with Pastor Patrick Henry officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, 6265 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted. In Lieu of Flowers memorial contributions may be made in Robert’s memory to Hospice of Miami County, P.O. Box 502, Troy, Ohio 45373. Services have been entrusted to the Blessing-Zerkle Funeral Home, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City, Ohio. Condolences may be sent to the family thru this online guestbook.
