Condolence From: John Mintefering

Condolence: To the family of Donald Flory, whom I refer to as Donnie.
I met Donnie in 1971. We became instant friends, telling military and racing stories and of course drinking beer. Debbie, My wife Linda and I met you when Donnie had his 73 Corvette in the custom car show at Hara, he won, that was cool. We both worked with Donnie at Dayton Speedway for the second chapter in 1978. We remember Crystal and Jenny with fondness. The last time we saw either of them was in 1980 they spent the night at our home with our two kids. That was when we were helping Donnie run the dirt track at the Clark County fairgrounds. We moved away from the area in 1985 but we would run into Donnie from time to time we would sit around and tell tales and drink beer. The last time we got to see Donnie was Sept. of 2016. I know you guys miss him, we miss him. We're So very sorry for your loss. Donnie was a fun guy to be around, he could fix anything, he could make a junk racecar win. He could make me laugh when I was mad. Most of all Donnie Flory was there when you needed him.
