Obituary for Marilyn Louise Littlejohn

Marilyn Louise Littlejohn, age 82 of Christiansburg passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016 in her residence. She was born on March 16, 1934 in Casstown the daughter of William & Mildred (Leffel) Lippincott. She was a 1952 graduate of Christiansburg-Jackson High School and a member of the Christiansburg Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary for over 59 years. She was a former Deputy Register, worked in the cafeteria at Graham South Elementary, and worked for the First Central National Bank for over 20 years. She was a very active member of the Grafton United Methodist Church, and a former member of the Christiansburg United Methodist Church, where she served on several committees, including many outreach programs for the youth.
She is survived by her children Sherrie & Kurt Garver of Christiansburg, Doug & Dena Drum of Yellow Springs, Brenda & Jay Brandyberry of Carysville and Roger & Diane Littlejohn of Christiansburg; 9 grandchildren Evan & Melissa Garver, Rebecca & Jeff Rice, Chris & Amber Drum, Beau & Sara Drum, Josh Brandyberry, Jacob Brandyberry, Lynn & Jeff Cyr, Carrie & Brandon Melgaard and Vince Littlejohn; 9 great grandchildren Brigg & Brock Rice, Jaina & Adalynn Drum, Owen & Avaleigh Drum, Alaina Garver and Mason & Miles Melgaard; a brother Bill Lippincott, 2 sisters Patty Walker and Rosie Guenthner, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her 1st beloved husband of 33 years, Rufus “Bud” Drum and her 2nd beloved husband for 20 years, Garnard Littlejohn, and her brother Clyde Lippincott.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the Grafton United Methodist Church, 2968 Dialton Rd., St. Paris. A Celebration of Marilyn’s Life will be held on Friday, December 23, 2016 at 10:00 am at the church with Pastor Mark Atterholt officiating. Burial will follow in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Marilyn’s memory to the Grafton United Methodist Church Building Fund, 2968 Dialton Rd., St. Paris, Ohio 43072 or the Christiansburg Fire Company, P.O. 300, Christiansburg, Ohio 45389. Services have been entrusted to the Blessing-Zerkle Funeral Home, Tipp City. Condolences may be sent to the family through this online guestbook.
