Alice Marie “Nonnie” Gibson, our precious angel, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born in Wilder, Tennessee on August 14, 1934 the daughter of A.P. & Mattie (Poteet) Ford. She was an avid shopper and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children Cheryl Jones, Myra (Bruce) Willis, Sheila (Mike) Johnson, and Kimberly (T.R.) Barnett, 8 grandchildren Billy Scott Dixon, Alicia (Mike) Baumgardner, Heather (Roy) Burger, Trey (Alyssa) Barnett, Kaleigh Barnett, Andy (Danielle) Bierer, Scott (Danielle) Johnson, and Michael (Angie) Johnson, 11 great grandchildren, a brother Randall Ford, 3 sisters Elizabeth (Bruce) Kilby, Jimmie Sue Crockett, and Myra (Bill) Smith, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 49 years Lowell Gibson, and 2 brothers Bobby and Billy Ford.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Northridge Free Will Baptist Church, 4800 Payne Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45414 with Pastor John Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. Memorial Contributions may be made in Alice’s memory to the COPD Foundation, 3300 Ponce De Leon Blvd., Miami, Florida 33134.
