Elizabeth Jane Liffick
Elizabeth Jane Liffick, age 90 of Vandalia, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Dayspring of Miami Valley, Fairborn. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on May 16, 1925 the daughter of James & Orpha (Hoops) Freeman. She was a former bus driver for the City of Dayton and Vandalia Butler Schools.
She is survived by her sons Ronald L. Liffick and Richard L. Liffick Jr., daughter Patricia I. Slade, brothers Emerson, Daniel, Harold, and James Jr., sister Margaret Collier, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard L. Liffick Sr. in 1989, brothers Warren Sr. and Orville, sister Helen West, granddaughter Marrissa Kay Moore, grandson Christopher Lee Liffick, brother-in-law Pionas Collier Sr., sister-in-law Dorla Freeman, nephew Steven Collier, and nieces Beverly West and Betty West.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Elizabeth’s memory to Hospice of the Miami Valley, 46 N. Detroit St. Suite B, Xenia, Ohio 45385.
