Harry Douglas Rupert
Harry Douglas Rupert, age 81 of Piqua, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015 in Koester Pavilion, Troy. He was born in Mercer County, Ohio on October 26, 1933 the son of Jesse & Melva (Nevergall) Rupert. He attended the Union Baptist Church of Troy, and was a member of the Troy Fish & Game and Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years Rose (Strausbaugh) Rupert, children Ronald (Julie) Rupert, Rus (Debbie) Rupert, Roxanne (Jim) Lengerich, Tammy Climer, Penny (Mark) Gooch, Linda (Tom) Parsons, Tim Longacre, and Terry Longacre, 18 grandchildren Jason (Alicia) Rupert, Jennifer (Johnny) Stuart, Clinton (Beth) Rupert, Matt Rupert, Marci (Bob) Sease, Allie (Jered) Colter, Kayla Lengerich, Brooke Lengerich, Julie Hollis, Ronald Wilson III, Christina Wells, Jason (Apple) Larck, Cyndi (Eric) Potter, David Crago, Jon Crago, Brantley Longacre, Chera (Matt) Green, and Vincent Longacre, 20 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Jason Wilson, a brother Norbert and a sister Margaret.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm in the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 12:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Dale Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
