Obituary for Michael Ray Dingus

Michael Ray Dingus, 66 of Tipp City, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2015 in his residence. He was born in Jenkins, Kentucky on December 28, 1948 the son of Jack R. & Sheila (Lawson) Dingus. He was a 1966 graduate of Stebbins High School where he excelled in many sports which earned him a scholarship to attend Morehead State University where he played basketball. He worked for General Motors and General Electric as a production control specialist.

He is survived by his mother Shelia Kowalski, a son Aaron (Carrie) Dingus, a daughter Jennifer (Rob) Catallo, 3 grandchildren Alex Dingus, Nick Catallo, and Brittany Catallo, and the children’s mother Willa Tomlin, a sister Madonna (Dean) Beamer, and a half brother Robert Hinds.

He was preceded in death by his father Jack Dingus and a half brother Steve Lawson.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm in the Calvary Cemetery Chapel, 1625 Calvary Drive, Dayton. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 pm in Calvary Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to the Blessing-Zerkle Funeral Home, Tipp City. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Michael’s memory to the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, 2600 Deweese Parkway, Dayton, Ohio 45414.
