Kathleen A. Trent, age 52 of New Carlisle, passed away Monday, January 5, 2015 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. The daughter of Robert B. & Beatrice M. (Simon) Barlage, she was born in Sidney, Ohio on April 12, 1962. She was a member of St. John’s the Baptist Catholic Church where she was active with the Jr./Sr. Faith Sharing Group and Festival Committee for many years.

She is survived by her mother Beatrice M. Barlage; 3 children Tara M. (Levi) O’Neill, Allysson C. (Stephen) Rudnicki, and Shane Trent; 3 grandchildren Mailynne Rudnicki, Mina Rudnicki, and Blake O’Neill; 5 brothers Charles “Chuck” (Bethany) Barlage, Dave (Cheryl) Barlage, Robert (Julie) Barlage, Kevin (Jerri) Barlage, and Eric (Mindy) Barlage; 3 sisters Barbara (Alan) Duling, Diane (Michael) Trego, and Shirley (Don) Goldschmidt; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert B. Barlage.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 10:30 am at St. John’s the Baptist Catholic Church, 753 S. Hyatt St., Tipp City with Father Marc Sherlock officiating. The family will also receive friends on Saturday at the church from 9:30 until Mass. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Tipp City. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kathy’s memory to Dayton Children’s Hospital, 1 Children’s Plaza, Dayton, Ohio 45404.
