Obituary for
Richard G. Johnson
Richard Johnson, 65 of Berea, Kentucky and formerly of Dayton, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013 in his residence. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 7, 1948 the son of Ronald G. & Hazel I. (Black) Johnson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the D.A.V. and American Legion. He was retired from General Motors Frigidaire. He was a member of the Wyoming St. Community Christian Church, Dayton and enjoyed CB radio, NASCAR, and drag racing.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years Teresa (Bray) Johnson, son Kenneth “Ken” (Kym) Johnson, daughter Michelle “Shelly” (Jeremy) Johnson, brother Keith Johnson, nephews Josh Johnson, Chris Johnson, and Ronnie Johnson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and a son Robert Johnson.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm in the Blessing Funeral Home, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 12:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Sam Slagel officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Richard’s memory to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 2621 Dryden Rd. Suite 306, Moraine, Ohio 45439.
