Doris E. Kelley
Doris E. Kelley, age 93 of West Milton passed away Monday, April 2, 2012. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on April 14, 1918 the daughter of Andrew & Ruth (Kolbe) Moorehead. She worked at Reynolds & Reynolds where she met her husband Harry Kelley, Dayton Tire & Rubber and JC Penney. She was a Life member of Eastern Star Chapter #307 Tippecanoe, Ormus Caldron and Supreme Caldron, Valley Arts and Crafts Club, Tipp City Senior Citizens, Troy Nazarene Church, a Kentucky Colonel, and she volunteered for Vitas Hospice, Project Believe, and ALS Organization.
She is survived by her children Karen (Jack) Wellbaum, Dean (Lucy) Kelley, and Ruthellen (Chris) Gunning, 7 grandchildren Janelle (Ed) Sutter, Mark (Kim) Pricer, Brian (Sandy) Pricer, Laura (Guy) Giblin, Daniel (Sherry) Kelley, Tammie Rafferty, and Tracie (Nathan) Snyder, 17 great grandchildren, several step grandchildren and great grandchildren, 4 sisters Mildred Shanks, Norma Boyd, Lois Lowrey, and Faith Backs, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry Kelley, a brother Charles a sister Marie and a son-in-law Jim Rafferty.
The family would like to thank Vitas Hospice and all of their staff for their care and compassion during this very difficult time.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, April 6, 2012 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 12:00 pm in the funeral home Pastor Ron Barber and Chaplin Phil Hohulin officiating. Burial will follow in Willow View Cemetery, Dayton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Doris’ memory to Project Believe, 435 S. First St. Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.blessingfh.com.
