Dwight H. Jacks, age 88 of Dayton passed away Friday, May 6, 2011 in Kindred Hospital, Dayton. He was born in Huntsville, Alabama on October 30, 1922 the son of Robert Coleman & Mary Katherine (Moore) Jacks. He retired from the railroad after many years and was a member of the Crossroads Church of God in Dayton.
He is survived by his 3 sons Bob Jacks of Huber Heights, Dave Jacks of Wellston, Ohio and Dwight Jacks of Dayton, 4 grandchildren Rob Jacks Jr., Connie Childers, Leisa (Kevin) Ensley, and Jamey (Tina) Jacks, 8 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, sister Fausteen, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife of 63 years Flora B. (Johnson) Jacks in 2008, 2 sisters and a brother.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm in the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.blessingfh.com.
